Reputation

The reputation of Jervis Homes in the Cotswolds has been carefully built over 17 years. Our customers are ambassadors for the quality of our construction and our design capability. Furthermore, we have been recognised by awards. In 2006, Jervis Homes attained the four star award for ‘Oxfordshire Best Development’ presented by the Daily Mail. Another newspaper, The Daily Telegraph, described one of our rural developments as: ‘a tasteful conversion of redundant farm buildings in the Cotswolds that satisfies English Heritage’s requirements’. In 2012, we gain a second converted award for a single house development in Oxfordshire presented by the International Property Awards.

“Our first home in the Cotswolds was a 17th century barn that had been sympathetically and beautifully converted by Henry Jervis. In fact, it was used by a Daily Telegraph article as an excellent example of how barn conversions should be developed! We subsequently bought a larger barn-style house built by Henry on the same development. Both homes were finished to a very high standard, and Henry’s attention to detail and use of reclaimed materials, particularly in the new build, gave the house tremendous character – an ingredient often missing in modern houses. We would not hesitate to recommend Henry as an excellent builder, who incorporates style as well as practicality into the lovely homes he develops.”

Mr and Mrs Ayres, Cotswolds

“We had a complete, friendly and professional service from Henry Jervis. He offered imaginative design recommendations and solutions when doing the drawings for our extension, whilst listening to our wants and needs. He had great knowledge and insight into how the layout would work best for us and our family, whilst keeping within our budget. I have already recommended him to two friends who have both used his services and are extremely happy.”

W Farquharson, Warwickshire

“We are now very settled in our new home, and we can’t believe how well everything has turned out. Our biggest concern was always how we could turn a a fairly bland 60’s property into a character country property befitting the village location. The drawings you developed achieved exactly the look we hoped for, and furthermore a home that not only looks great but also works so well for our family, we really couldn’t be happier. Your advice about materials was also a key factor in achieving the specific ‘rustic’ look, and your help to optimise our build within a fixed budget has ensured we didn’t have to compromise.

We can’t thank you enough for your ongoing help and advice, which we know went beyond the scope of your paid remit.”

Mr and Mrs Kelleher

“Henry Jervis is reliable, honest and considerate to his clients. He was excellent at keeping to his timescales and at keeping to his original quotation and where we requested additional or minor changes, he always put the new costs clearly in writing for us. He came up with good, useful ideas, sourced building materials very well, offered us choices and good detailing as he himself has good taste! His other contractors were pleasant and worked hard, which is important when you and your family are camping out sharing living space with them at certain critical times! Building Control officers have been very complimentary recently about the end result.
We would not hesitate to recommend him for a domestic building project, and we would happily work with him again.”

Mr M Frost, Combrook
