Welcome to Henry Jervis & Partners Ltd

Jervis Homes is a small family-run firm that has been designing and building individual homes in the Cotswolds for 20 years. In all that time, every one of the properties we have developed has been different in character. It’s our proud boast, and that of our customers, that each of our homes is truly original.

We have just won the Stratford District Council LABC best development award 2017.

Not only do we painstakingly seek the right rural location for a build, we design our houses to reflect the characteristics of the environment. At the design stage we carefully consider factors such as the aspect of the house to ensure maximum light. It means we research the architectural details of existing properties in the area to ensure our design is sympathetic. And, it means we go to extraordinary lengths to ensure our building materials are authentic.

Because we build distinctive homes, we incorporate many features using materials and designs you perhaps wouldn’t expect, our attention to detail may even go unnoticed. The type of wood we select for an interior or the fixtures and fittings we use on a cupboard door Because we only design and build a small number of bespoke houses, Henry Jervis is able to project manage each one. So you get his personal stamp of approval. Every time.

Sustainable building

Our knowledge and understanding of listed buildings ensures we make the most of traditional properties. But, equally, we are committed to maximising state-of-the art technology to reduce energy consumption and minimise the carbon footprint of all our builds. Wherever possible, we research and explore technological options in lighting, heating and in the innovative use of contemporary building materials. Fully zoned heating systems, rainwater collection for gardens, composting bins, separate kitchen recycling bins and low energy lighting are just some of the features we incorporate in our houses.

Indeed, our capital investment in heavy machinery to crush, separate and reuse stone, concrete and soil means we are typically able to recycle 90 per cent of the existing materials on a site. Not only does this significantly reduce landfill, but it cuts down on haulage and transport to and from the site. Moreover, where possible, we aim to source building materials locally as we believe this is both aesthetically and environmentally beneficial.

Our team operates the highest standards of health and safety, too, boasting an exemplary record in this area.
